If you are providing us with a raster image (.tif, .bmp, .jpg, .gif, .psd or any other paint type image), it will be printed as a 4-Color process job. For example, a jpeg logo colored blue is actually composed to a combination of 4 dots (yellow(1 color) + magenta(2nd color) + cyan(3rd color) + black(4th color). See below for more information. |

A spot color is a solid color (red, blue green, black, etc). Most lettering is composed of solid spot colors. Our spot printing colors cannot print color blends, gradation fades, photographs, complex images or rainbow effects. See 4-color process defined page for this type of printing. Four color process artwork is an image composed of a combination of small dots. Each dot is usually compose of one of four colors: cyan (C), magenta (M), yellow (Y), and black (K). These four colors in different combinations make up the majority of the visible color spectrum. Example - Your inkjet printer at home probably runs off of a CMYK (4-color process) system. Typical four color prints are color blends, gradation fades, photographs, complex images or rainbow effects.
